Q Drum and Sandton Rotary Help Itsotseng

Itsotseng is a squatter camp located near Lanseria, on the northern perimeters of Johannesburg in South Africa. It holds approximately 20 000 dwellers. Most of these inhabitants live in shacks made from wood, tin, plastic or any other available material.

Itsotseng has hundreds of HIV infected children, many of whom are physically abused. With the intention of creating a better life for these children, Rotary International's Sandton chapter has taken it upon themselves to build a community centre where the children can receive a nutritious meal, appropriate health care and get clean water from the new borehole.

Together with Q Drum (Pty) Ltd, the residents of Itsotseng received 85 drums in which to safely transport water back to their homes. Click here to view images.
